Project proposal: a home for the homeless children under CRVO

Children rescue voluntary organisation (CRVO) is a registered NGO found in Kabale, Ugada. The organisation aims at restoring hope of children from the age of a few weeks up to 17 years. Focus is on those children who have lost hope due to physical, social, economical and emotional torture.
The organisation intend to establish a home with vocational centre to enable the children to access skills and security so a rehabilitation is proposed because once it is in a place it will help in nurturing and housing abandoned children.
A rehabilitation home will play a big role in the social, economic development of these children and it will provide an answer to these children who have been psychologically tortured.
This  project, once it takes off , will benefit a population of about 25 children as well as other members of the community who will be employed. The beneficiaries will be the affected children on the streets and other abandoned babies being rescued. This will help CRVO in rescuing children, to restore the hope of the children and make them forget about their past hard life and will reduce the death risks by offering them a home, a shelter and safe place.
A team will be established to start the search for a suitable house, to take care of the purchasing, to do needed renovations ,...

The budgeted cost for a finished, suitable house is 60.000.000 Uganda Shillings= 20.000 euro.

A home for the homeless children under CRVO – status Dec 2nd

After the official selling of the house on Sept 10th CRVO was happy to inform us that already on Oct 20th the children could move in into their new home (earlier than the first agreed date of Nov 1st).

The children are enjoying their new home in times of heavy rain and the outbreak of a strong virus, called Marburg. No children under the protection of CRVO were affected by the deadly disease.

In the meanwhile new vegetables and sweet potatoes have been planted around the pig farm, the children at school have finalised their exams and are starting a well-deserved school holiday now and some of them are harvesting vegetables they’ve planted themselves.
